ALEXANDER VERESHAGIN
Alexander Vereshagin was born in the Blaine Lake, Sask. area on July 14, 1914 and died April 11, 1974. The funeral was held April 13 in the Blaine Lake Gospel Chapel, which is under the Mennonite Brethren Mission of Saskatchewan. Mr. Vereshagin met the Lord just a few years ago and since then witnessed for him.
Excerpts from a poem written about and dedicated to Mr. Vereshagin by Sam Apesland of Weldon. Sask. tell a bit about his life:
.... Your earthly joy consisted of your family and your friends, And all of God's creation who on loving care depends. You loved to hear the owl hoot on a frosty winter night, And watch the coyote play and howl when the moon was shining bright.
