Has Fatal Attack, Trampled by Cow
Sugarcreek, Ohio. — A heart attack suffered while doing the evening milking proved fatal Oct. 26 for Jonas N. Schlabach, 53, well known farmer of Route 1, Sugarcreek.
Marks on his body indicated he was trampled by the cow which he had been milking, but it is believed death had already occurred. His son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Owen Schlabach, were in the barn at the time of death.
Mr. Schlabach was a member of the Farmertown Mennonite Church. Funeral services were held at the Walnut Creek Mennonite Church, with Paul R. Miller and Homer Kandel in charge.
