TWO YEAR OLD CHILD WANDERS INTO PATH OF TRUCK, INSTANTLY KILLED
Kitchener, Ontario. — Tragedy struck the family of Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Manske of the Stirling Avenue Mennonite church, Kitchener, when their two year old son, Charles, was struck by a truck at 4:30 p. m. on Friday, September 12 and almost instantly killed.
The scene of the accident was about 100 feet from their home. The child received extensive head injuries and died a few minutes after being admitted to the hospital.
There were no witnesses to the accident and it appears as through the child wandered onto the road in order to cross the street. The truck driver claims not to have seen the child until he felt the bump and through the rear mirror noticed the body lying on the road.
The funeral was held on Monday September 15, with Rev. Wilfred Ulrich, pastor of the Stirling Avenue church, officiating.
