<center><h3>DONALD LLOYD MILLER</h3></center>
Donald Lloyd Miller, son of Shelley D. and Ida (Zook) Miller, was born Nov.21, 1908.  He departed this life June 11, 1957, at the age of 48 years, seven months and 21days.  His life was claimed by lightning while loading bundles in the field, and he was killed almost instantly.
At the age of twelve, Lloyd was baptized and united with the West Liberty Mennonite church near Inman, Kan. and remained an active member, serving his church and Sunday school in various activities. He was a great lover of music and served as church chorister for many years.
He spent his entire life in this community, was always willing to help others, placing others' interests above his own.  No task or favor was too great for him to undertake.
He always had high ideals.  Often times while riding in his car with him we would see a sticker near his steering wheel which would help one to live better.  Many of these were Bible verses which he memorized while driving.  Father was always cheerful, looking on the bright side of life.
He attended Hesston Academy and Bible School and graduated with honors after which he began teaching.  He taught school for 16 years.  He was school board member at different times, and was serving in that capacity for the Inman Rural High School for the past six years.
On Nov. 28, 1929, Donald was united in marriage to Lottie Zimmerman.  He will be greatly missed in the home as a devoted husband and father.
He leaves to mourn, his devoted wife and four sons:  J. Clifford and wife Nadine of Inman, Dean L. and wife Charmaine of Hillsboro, and Lamoine J. and Don R. of the home; two grandchildren, Bernelle and Dells, whom he dearly loved and with whom he spent many happy hours in play.  He also leaves his parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. D. Miller, his aged mother-in-law, Mrs. Jemima Zimmerman; three sisters, Mrs. Erna Brunk of Newton, Mrs. Mildred Zimmerman of Windom, and Mrs. Berdena West of Sweet Home, Oregon; one brother, Eugene of Houston, Texas and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at the West Liberty Mennonite Church on June 15, in charge of the pastor, M. M. Troyer, assisted by Waldo Miller.  Burial was made in the church cemetery.

INMAN FARMER KILLED BY LIGHTNING

As the Review goes to press, word is received that Lloyd Miller of the Inman community was instantly killed by a bolt of lightning Tuesday afternoon at his farm four miles west and three and a quarter miles north of Inman.

A member of the West Liberty Mennonite congregation, he is survived by his wife and four sons.
