MRS. HELENA KLIPPENSTEIN

Mrs. Helena Klippenstein was born in Russia on October 26, 1892. She married Cornelius Kasper in 1910 and was predeceased by him in 1918. Two years later she married John Klippenstein, and in 1924 the couple came to Canada and settled on a homestead in the Main Centre district where they resided until 1955. In that year, having been predeceased by her second husband, John, she took up residence in Swift Current where she remained until shortly before her death, February 3. For the last ten months of her life she was a resident of the Herbert Nursing Home.

Mrs. Klippenstein had a strong Christian faith and was a long-standing member of the Mennonite Brethren Church.

Funeral services were held February 7 at Culham's Funeral Home in Swift Current, and at the Mennonite Brethren Church, Main Centre. Rev. Peter Nikkel and Rev. Alvin Penner officiated.

Mrs. Klippenstein is survived by two sons of her first marriage: Ben Kasper, Herbert, and Harry Kasper, Nanaimo, B.C.; five sons of her second marriage: John, Main Centre; Peter, Glaslyn, Sask.; Jacob, Vancouver; Paul, Swift Current; Ernest, Swift Current. Also surviving her are five daughters: Agnes Klippenstein, Swift Current; Mrs. Helen Quiring of Apache Junction, Arizona; Mrs. Martha Ozeroff of Windermere, B.C.; Mrs. Marie Faul of Fresno, California; Mrs. Susie Kamerlia of Madeira Park, B.C. There are wo surviving sisters, four brothers, 36 randchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
