— Funeral services were held at Ulysses on April 13 for Bernhard Schmidt, 69, well-known retired farmer there and a native of Harvey County. He was born near Newton Feb. 27, 1888, and farmed here before moving to the Ulysses area in 1933. He died April 9 after being ill since 1951. A brother, Isaac Schmidt, resides here. | |||
