HERTA SARA LOEWEN

Miss Herta Loewen (sister to Jakob Loewen, mentioned above) was born in 1912 in Chortiza, Russia. She went with her parents to Paraguay in 1930. In 1933 she accepted Christ at an evangelistic service in Fernheim and was baptized the same year along with her brother.

She came to Canada in 1966 with her father, and worked hard to support herself and her aging parent. While crossing the street on her way to work she was struck by an automobile and died soon after arriving at the hospital.

Funeral services were held in the Vancouver MB Church, at the same time as those for her brother Jakob. Her father is Rev. Peter Loewen, of Vancouver.
