RUTH EVA EYMANN

Ruth Eva Eymann of 965 West Ave., Reedley, Calif., daughter of the late August C. and Mary Franz Eymann, was born in Reedley on July 4, 1908.

She received all her formal education in the Reedley schools graduating from Reedley College.

She was baptized upon her confession of faith that Jesus Christ was her Savior on May 13, 1923 by Rev. Henry J. Krehbiel. She loved her Lord and worshipped Him faithfully. The Bible and hymn book were dear to her. Her favorite hymn, which she could remember as far back as when she was two years old, was "Trust and Obey."

After the passing of her parents she remained in the parental home and lived there until her death.

Ruth has always been known for faithful service to her Lord in and through the church. She had a profound faith in Jesus Christ. She carried on a tremendous amount of correspondence with missionaries and shut-ins. Her Christian work, including her prayer life, was done systematically. She will long be remembered for her faithful work and regular attendance in the Sunday school, worship services, Christian Endeavor and Worthwhile Circle. She was secretary of the latter organization for the past 21 years.

Her passing came Saturday, May 5, at her home after an illness of about three weeks, at the age of 47 years, ten months.

Surviving are four brothers and one sister: Earl, Paul and Mary (Mrs. Arthur Bergthold) of Reedley, Harold of Piedmont, Calif. and Willard of Sacramento; many relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted Friday afternoon, May 7, at the First Mennonite Church of Reedley. Rev. Harold Eymann, a brother, and Rev. Aaron Epp officiated. A trio sang "Trust and obey" and "Make Me A Blessing."
