FRANK BRANDT
Funeral services for Frank Brandt of Winkler, Manitoba, who passed away on March 17 at the age of 60 years were held on March 21 in the Winkler Mennonite Brethren Church. Rev. J.M. Schmidt and Hev. I.P.'F. Friesen conducted the services.
Mr. Brandt was born on April 6, 1911 in Herbert, Sask., the seventh child in a family of eleven children born to Abram and Katarina Brandt. When he was nine his parents moved to Mountain Oity, M an: The days of his youth were spent at home helping to support a large family. In 1936 he was baptized upon his confess ion of faith and received into th e membersh ip of the Winkler MrS ·Church. On April 8, 1943 he ma rried Mary Fri esen of Rein fel d in the O'lei CoionyChurch. They l·iv€:d in t he Winkl er area during t he greater part of t heir marri ed iif
Psalm 90:17 says, "Establish thou the work of our hands upon us." He ·Ioved to work and worked much. For a number o·f years he was employed with the ·Winkler Public Works and as caretaker of the Winkler Curling Rink. He worked for Triangle Farms for the last six years.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary; two daughters, Mrs. Jake (Martha) Thiessen of Altona, and Mrs. Archie (Betty) Nickel of Swan River; and their husbands. Three brothers predeceased him.
