MRS. FRIEDA HUBERT
Frieda Hubert, daughter of Peter and Sara (Unruh) Wall was born in Fernheim, Paraguay on October 3, 1934. There she spent her childhood and school years . During evangelistic meetings held by Rev. C. N. Hiebert she gave her life to the Lord and became a happy child of God. Frieda was baptized at the age of 15 and became a member of the Mennonite Brethren Church. She was a blessing to many through her life, especially also in her work as a nurse. She studied nursing under Dr. Dollinger in Fernheim, Paraguay
In 1955 she came to Canada together with her parents, brothers and sisters. She helped to support the family during those first years in Canada and was to them a dear daughter and ray of sunshine on June 28, 1958 she was united in marriage to Henry Hubert. Three sons, Henry John, Arthur Peter and Edwin Gerald, blessed this union.
She enjoyed good health until four years ago when a brain tumor first became apparent. She underwent treatment and brain surgery on August 13, 1968. She knew the seriousness of the operation and was ready to meet the Lord. However, by the grace of God she slowly began to recover. In January, 1972 she began to worsen again and on April 1, after a series of tests which proved too much for her strength to withstand, she went to be with the Lord. She was 37.
She leaves to mourn, her deeply grieving husband, Henry, and three sons, Henry, Arthur and Edwin, all of Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ont.; her mother,(Mrs.) Sara Wall; and six brothers and five sisters. She was predeceased by her father. The funeral was conducted from the Virgil (Ont.) Church on April 4 with Rev. J.G. Baer'g and Rev. George Wichert ministering.
