HENRY WIEBE

Henry Wiebe was born June 28, 1902, in Bergthal, Russia, to Jacob and Tina (nee Neustaedter) Wiebe. In 1923 he came to Canada, residing first in Swallwell, Alta. In 1927 he was married to Maria Harder who had been a faithful helpmate to him right to the end. In 1929 he accepted Christ as his personal Saviour and that same year was baptized and accepted into the Linden Mennonite Brethren Church. From Swallwell they moved to Vauxhall, then in 1963 to Lethbridge and in 1965 to Coaldale where they received many blessings in the MB Church.

The Lord gave them five sons: Herman, Norman, who predeceased his father several years ago, and John, Armen, and Abe, all residing in Calgary.

In the morning of May 15 the Lord suddenly called him home, at the age of 68 years.

He is survived by his wife, four sons, five daughters-in-law, 10 grandchildren and one brother and one sister in Russia.
