AGNES WIEBE
Mrs. Agnes Wiebe of Winnpeg passed away on February 4 at the age of 53 years. Funeral services were held in the Portage Ave. MB Church with Rev. H. H. Voth and Rev. Joe Wiebe officiating. She was born in the Crimea, South Russia, to Jacob and Katharina Toews. When she was two, her mother died, and after emigrating to Canada with her family in 1924, she was adopted by the George Wiebe family of Winkler, Man. She accepted the Lord as her Saviour at the age of 11 and was baptised into the fellowship of the Winkler MB Church. In 1939 she was united in marriage to Abram Wiebe of Leamington, Ontario, and they farmed together near Leamington for 21 years. Her husband predeceased her in 1960. In the summer of 1969 she became ill and moved to Winnipeg to be near her oldest daughter. She is survived and lovingly remembered by two daughters: Mrs. Sig (Erna) Schroeder, Dorothy, both of Winnipeg; one son: John, St. Catharines, Ont.; three grandchildren; two sisters and two brothers.
