New Haven, Ind. — Funeral services for 15-year-old Kenneth Miller, son of Laverne Millers who lost his life by drowning in the St. Joseph river, were held May 29 at the Cuba Mennonite church. John Yoder officiated. | |||
The youth and his two brothers, Kermit 16 and Max 14, had gone swimming in the river near the Miller farm at Spencerville. Kenneth dived in first and then called for help before disappearing under the water. His brothers were not good enough swimmers to attempt a rescue and one of them ran for aid. | |||
The body was recovered a half hour later in eight feet of water. | |||
