SUSIE NEUFELD

(Mrs.) Susie Neufeld of Winkler, Manitoba, passed away in the Concordia Hospital, Winnipeg, on November 28 following lengthy illness. She was born on September 4, 1900 in South Russia to Rev. Cornelius and Susanna Neufeld. On September 15, 1919 she was married to Kornelius H. Neufeld, a union which was blessed with four children. Two of the children predeceased their mother, Susie in infancy and Cornie at the age of 16. In 1923 the family emigrated to Canada and made their home at Winkler. She was baptized upon her confession of faith in 1926 and accepted into the Winkler MB Church. Her husband predeceased her in 1957. She experienced a difficult life, both physically and mentally, and had to undergo many major operations. However, her faith in the Lord never faltered. She attained an age of 70 years.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Dave (Susie) Penner, Winkler, and Mrs. Abe (Annie) Janzen, Fort Garry; her sons-in-law; eight, grandchildren; and six great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. David (Agatha) Vogt, Vancouver; and two brothers, Kornelius Neufeld, Yarrow, B.C. and James Neufeld, Lethbridge.
