PETER A. KROEKER
Peter A. Kroeker stepped painlessly from earthly to heavenly life September 16, 1970. He lived at Donwood Manor, North Kildonan with his wife Susan.
Born at Winkler in 1897, he accepted Christ at age 11, and was baptized as a member of the Mennonite Brethren Church at 18.
He and Susan (nee Hiebert) were married in 1919 Art Winkler. He was one of three partners in the Kroeker Brothers Store in Winkler until 1928, when he began farming.
Outstanding in his life were the years on the farm near Winkler when his home was constantly open to visitors. He was everybody's friend. He retired in the 50s and moved his family to Winnipeg. He often expressed concern for the welfare of the church; his prayers were clear and his faith was steadfast until his sudden heart attack and death. Survivors are his wife Susan of Donwood Manor, 171 Donwoed Drive, North Kildonan; two daughters, Mrs. John Froese of San Jose, California, and Mrs. Herman Wilms of Fort Garry; one sun, Irvin of Lincoln, Nebraska; one brother, Abram of East Kildonan; and one sister, Miss Nettie Kroeker of North Kildonan.
