ANNA DRIEDIGER

Mrs. Anna Driediger passed away at the Menno Private Hospital, Abbotsford, B.C. on July 4. She was the second of twelve children bern te Wilhelm and Elizabeth (nee Kornelsen) Thiessen. She was born on Octe'ber 9, 1876 in Alexanderfeld, in the Sagradewka settlement of southern Russia. From the early age 'Of sixteen until her marriage at thirty she served as maid in the hemes 'Of varieus families.

At e'ighteen she teek catechism instructien, was baptized by sprinkling and became a member 'Of the Mennenite church. Feur years later she came te Christ in repentance, accepted him as persenal Savieur, and was baptized by immersien in the Mennenite Brethren Church.

In 1906 she married Kernelieus Driediger in the village 'Of Rueckenau in the Melotschener Celeny. One year later they meved te Gnadenthal, and in 1908 settled in Omask, Siberia where they spent eighteen prespereus years. In 1926, due te pelitical unrest, they gathered their family and emigrated te Canada. After a shert stay in Ontarie they moved te a farm at Oak Lake, Maniteba. In 1945, they meved te their last heme near Sardis, B.C. where Mr. Driediger passed away en June 22, 1952.

Mrs. Driediger reached the age 'Of 93, spending the last eighteen years as a, widew. She bere nine children; ~ive daughters and feur sens.

She was predeceased by her yeungest twe daughters, her eldest sen and her husband.

Te levingly remember her, she leaves three sens and their wives, three daughters and their husbands, 'One daughter-inlaw, twenty-nine grandchildren, and twenty-feur great grandchildren
