ALICE H. REMPEL

Mrs. Alice Rempel (nee Neufeld) was born in Halbstadt, south Russia on August 5, 1914. In 1924 she came to Ontario with her mother, Mrs. Susa Neufeld, and a sister and brother. They made their home in Kitchener.

At the age of 12 she accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Saviour and four years later became a member of the Kitchener Mennonite Brethren Church. Later she became a charter member of the Waterloo Mennonite Brethren Church.

She was married to Peter Rempel on July 24, 1938, a union that was blessed with a son Arthur and a daughter Karen. In 1967 she moved to St. Catharines and became a member of the Fairview Church where she served in various capacities including Sunday school and the ladies auxiliary.

On February 9, 1970, after a lengthy illness, she went to be with the Lord. She is survived by her husband Peter; son Arthur of Waterloo; daughter Karen of St. Catharines; her mother, Mrs. Susa Neufeld, of Kitchener; a sister, Mrs. John (Areka) Gosen of Waterloo; and a brother, Arthur Neufeld, of Fonthill. Ont.
