Miss Emma Lydia Krebill, 75, died suddenly Dec. 7, 1962 at her home in Donnellson, Iowa, after an illness of a few hours. 
 
The daughter of Fred and Elizabeth Rings Krebill, she was born Aug. 14, 1887 on a farm near Donnellson.  On Sept. 22, 1901, she was baptized by Rev. Christian Schowalter and received into membership of the Zion Mennonite Church at Donnellson.  In 1917 she accompanied her parents when they accompanied her parents when they left the farm and took up residence left the farm and took up residence in Donnellson.  Here she ministered to her parents in their old age, especially devoting herself to the care of her mother until her death in 1941. 
 
After a space of four years, during which time she lived alone, she was joined in her home by Mr. and Mrs. August Lowenberg.  After the death of Mr. Lowenberg she and her sister, Mrs. Lottie Lowenberg shared the tasks and burdens of life and enjoyed family fellowship. 
 
For many years, in addition to her home responsibilities, she cared for children in Donnellson homes.  As a faithful and dependable Christian person, she was deeply appreciated by many parents and loved devotedly by children.  The afternoon of her death she had cared for one of her “children” and had promised her services at another home in the evening which had to be cancelled when she became ill. 
 
With the exception of a period of illness about 10 years ago, when she submitted to surgery, she enjoyed good health, using her strength for diligent work and faithful service until the end. 
 
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.  Surviving are three brothers, two sisters, nieces and nephews.  Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 10, at the Zion Mennonite Church in Donnellson, Rev. Orlando Wiebe officiating.
