SUSANNA SCHMOR
(Mrs.) Susanna Schmor, 82, wife of Cornelius Schmor of Clearbrook, B.C., passed away on March 18 in Abbotsford. She was born October 12, 1886, in Mountain Lake, Minnesota, the daughter of Isaac and Aganetha Neufeld. She migrated with her parents to Canada in 1898. It was through the preaching of missionary Franz Wiens that she accepted Christ as her personal Saviour in 1910. She was baptized upon her faith in Christ and accepted into the fellowship of the Mennonite Brethren Church, whose member she remained until her death.
She was married to Cornelius Schmor, a widower with two children, on November 19, 1912, and together with him shared over 56 years of life together. The Lord blessed their union with four children, one son and three daughters. One daughter predeceased their mother. The family lived at Hepburn, Sask., for 29 years, then moved to Virgil, Ont., in 1941, and in 1946 to Clearbrook, B.C. The last two years were spent in the Tabor Home at Clearbrook.
Mrs. Schmor is survived by her husband; two sons and three daughters, with their families; and one sister, Mrs. Frank Baerg of Saskatoon. The funeral was held in the Clearbrook Church on March 21 with Rev. Herman Lenzmann and Rev. Abe Friesen ministering.
