Kalona, Iowa. — Funeral services were held at the East Union Mennonite church north of here Oct 3 for Mrs. Malinda Yoder, who died at her home Sunday at the age of 95, after a long illness. She was one of the oldest residents of this community.

Born in Logan county, Ohio, on Aug. 15, 1865 [sic 1856], the daughter of Christian and Mary Troyer Warye [sic Warey] she came to the Kalona area with her husband, the late Jacob B. Yoder, in 1886. She leaves a total of 149 descendants, including five daughters and three sons, 35 grandchildren, 103 great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.

The final services were in charge of Bishop D. J. Fisher.
