<center><h3>INJURY FROM FARM MACHINE PROVES FATAL.</h3></center>
David D. Krause of Hillsboro suffered a serious skull fracture Wednesday, June 17, which resulted in his death soon afterward at the Hillsboro hospital.
The tragic accident happened as Mr. Krause was assisting several men at the Eitzen Tractor Co. in Hillsboro move a combine through a narrow door.  A lever was accidentally released which struck Mr. Krause with such force that he lapsed into immediate unconsciousness.
Funeral services were held at the Lehigh Mennonite church on Saturday afternoon, June 20, where a large gathering of friends was present to show sympathy for the bereaved family.


Birth date: 1896
Mr. Krause is survived by his wife and three children.
