Wellman, Iowa. &#8212; Bishop D. J. Fisher has returned from his pastoral duties in CPS during the second week in January.  On January  9 it was his sad mission to conduct funeral services for Arthur Lyndaker of the Conservative church, Croghan, N. Y., who was fatally crushed by a falling tree at the Hill City (S. D.) CPS camp.
 
This young man was a fine Christian and would have been married very soon.  The accident was a severe shock to all who knew him. bishop Fisher and Camp Director Atlee Beachey had gone to Rapid City when the accident occurred, but returned to camp immediately upon being notified.  Bishop Fisher then stayed a day longer for the services.

ACCIDENT FATAL TO MACHINE OPERATOR AT HILL CITY CAMP

Hill City, S. D. — Arthur Lyndaker, Croghan, N. Y., was fatally injured at the civilian public service camp here Monday, Jan. 8, while operating a bulldozer at the local reservoir project.

He was crushed by a tree which he was pushing with the machine.

Lyndaker was rushed to a Rapid City hospital as quickly as possible but died en route.
