CRASH NEAR FAIRFIELD, IOWA LAST WEEK FATAL TO GLEN WIDMERS
Wayland, Iowa. — Funeral services for Mr. and Mrs. Glen Widmer and daughter Jane, all three victims of a highway accident, were held at the Eicher Mennonite church near here, Saturday, April 4, at 2:30 p.m.
The tragic crash, in which also the Widmers' other daughter, Glenda, was critically injured, happened near Fairfield shortly before nine o'clock Wednesday evening, April 1, the Widmer car ramming into the rear of a truck that had stopped on the highway. The truck driver reportedly had not yet had time to put out warning flares.
The funeral was one of the largest held at the Eicher church in recent years.
