&bull;  Funeral services were to be held Tuesday afternoon at the Bergthal Church near Pawnee Rock for Anton C. Schmidt, 68, who died unexpectedly last Friday evening while sitting in his car in front of the church.  Rev. Gary Stenson, the pastor, was to officiate.  Mr. Schmidt was a lifelong resident of the Pawnee Rock community, where he was a farmer and stockman.  He leaves his widow, one daughter and two sons and their families, a brother and two sisters.  Mrs. Clinton Koppes of North Newton is a sister.
