• John H. Warkentin, 96, a resident of the Bethel Home for Aged for the past 18 years, died at the Home Monday morning. A native of South Russia, he spent his boyhood in the Goessel community. He was married there in 1900 to Sarah Suderman, and she died in 1934. They resided at Geary, Okla. for a number of years. Survivors include two daughters, two sons, seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be conducted at the Sister Frieda Memorial Chapel at 10 a.m. Thursday, with Rev. Arnold Epp in charge. The body will then be taken to Geary for final services and burial at the Geary Mennonite Church on Friday afternoon. | |||
