— Virgil E. Unruh, 53, died unexpectedly Friday, May 7, at his home on Random Road. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Peterson Funeral Home. Rev. Ronald Krehbiel, pastor of the Alexanderwohl Church at Goessel, officiated. Mr. Unruh was a native of the Goessel community and had lived in Newton since 1953. Survivors include his widow, the former Linda Franz; a daughter, Gail, of the home; three sons, Lanny of Chicago, Terry of North Newton, and Gary of Emporia; his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Unruh of Halstead; and one sister, Mrs. Clarence Zarnowski of Halstead. | |||
