Mrs. Jacob D. Toevs (Louise Wiebe) was born June 18, 1883 in Liebenau, South Russia to John G. and Evelyn Schmidt Wiebe, who came to the United States in 1892.  She died Dec. 12, 1964 at the age of 81 years, five months and 24 days, in the hospital at American Falls, Ida.
 
She was baptized upon her confession of faith in the First Mennonite Church of Newton, Kansas. on May 28, 1901, later transferring her membership to the First Mennonite Church of Aberdeen, Ida. where she was an active and faithful member until her death.
 
On June 3, 1909 she was married to Jacob D. Toevs of Aberdeen.  He preceded her in death Aug. 24, 1946.  Five children were born to this union, of which two daughters preceded her in death.
 
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Walter (Irene) Thomas of Sacramento, Calif.; two sons, Theodore of San Jose, Calif. and Alden of Pocatello, Ida.; two sisters, Mrs. P. B. Zielke and Mrs. A. J.Harms of Newton, Kan.; and three brothers, Henry P. Wiebe of Inglewood, Calif., John P. and David D. Wiebe of Newton, Kan.; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
 
Funeral services were conducted Dec. 15 in the First Mennonite Church of Aberdeen, with Rev. Wilfred Ulrich officialing.
