<center><h3>Rural Newton Girl Fatally Injured When Car Hits Bridge</h3></center>
 
The Elbert Esau family of Route 3, Newton, was involved in a one car accident north of Potwin on Monday evening, resulting in the death of a 15-year-old daughter Clarith A. Esau.
 
Mr. and Mrs. Esau and children David, Eldon, Nathan and Dorene were admitted to Bethel deaconess Hospital, along with another passenger, David Wiebe of Whitewater.  All except David Esau remained in the hospital as of Wednesday morning.
 
Mr. Esau reported that his car struck a bridge when he swerved to avoid another car coming from the opposite direction.
 
Funeral arrangements for Clarith were incomplete at the Review's press time.
