BARTEL,''' was born on October 26, 1866, at Gombin, Poland.  In 1876 he emigrated to the United States with his parents and settled with them in Kansas.  There he married Mary Schroeder in 1887.  In 1906 he settled thirty-five miles south of Humboldt, Saskatchewan.  He died February 19, 1943.  Ministers who took part in the funeral service in the North Star Mennonite Meetinghouse were:  J. Gerbrandt, B. Ewert, Winnipeg; Rev. Schlabach, Guernsey; and Peter Janzen, Watrous.

REV. H. H. BARTEL, was born on October 26, 1866, at Gombin, Poland. In 1876 he emigrated to the United States with his parents and settled with them in Kansas. There he married Mary Schroeder in 1887. In 1906 he settled thirty-five miles south of Humboldt, Saskatchewan. He died February 19, 1943.
