NEWTON & VICINITY

● Funeral services for John W. Dyck, 70, of Newton, were held April 15 at First Mennonite Church, Newton. Floyd Bartel and Lubin Janzen officiated. Burial was in Restlawn Gardens of Memory. A retired seed processor at Sanner's Feed and Seed and mill operator at the Newton Mill, Dyck died April 12 at his home. Survivors include his wife, the former Velma Goertz; one daughter, Sharon K. Ratzlaff of Buhler; one brother, Ralph Dyck of Beaverton, Ore.; one sister, Helen Wiens of Newton; and two grandchildren.
