Father of Four Drowns in Pond
Mesapotamia [sic Mesopotamia], Ohio — A drowning tragedy claimed the life of Lester D. Mullet, Jr., 27, of rural Middlefield on Aug. 19.
While driving his team of horses home from Leavittsburg, he apparently stopped for a swim in a one-acre pond and drowned. Firemen recovered the body at 2:30 the next morning.
He leaves his widow, the former Kathryn Detweiler, and four small children.
