● Adolph A. Auernheimer, 88, who farmed for many years in the Halstead community, died Sunday morning at a Haven rest home where he had been a patient 12 days. He had suffered several strokes. Services were conducted Wednesday forenoon at the Halstead Mennonite Church, of which he was a member, with Rev. Arnold Funk officiating. a native of Summerfield, Ill., Mr. Auernheimer came to the Halstead community in 1912 and had lived in this area since except for some years spent in California. His wife, Clara, died last year. Surviving are three daughters, four sons, 19 grandchildren.
