DEATH AND SICKNESS LEAVE FAMILY OF NINE WITHOUT PARENTAL CARE
New Holland, Pa. — Neighbors and fellow church members have been helping out in the Mahlon Nolt home where death and illness took both parents from the home within a short time, leaving nine children ages two to 15 and their grandfather, Mahlon Nolt, Sr.
The father, Mahlon Nolt, suddenly became ill early in April and died the same day in Lancaster hospital. He was 38. Within a short time the mother became ill and was taken to Philhaven Hospital operated by Lancaster County Mennonites.
