• Mrs. Susie L. Nickel, 83, of Route 3, Newton, died Dec. 23 at the Bethesda Hospital in Goessel. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Grace Hill Church east of Newton, of which she was a long-time member. Mrs. Nickel, the former Susie Schmidt, was a lifelong resident of Harvey County and the widow of Peter P. Nickel, who died in 1940. She leaves two daughters, Mrs. Ted Unruh of Walton and Mrs. Harold Borchard of Route 3, three sisters, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. | |||
