— Joe Platt, 11 year old son of the late Rev. Ferry L. Platt and Mrs. Selma platt of Crete, Nebr., after a serious operation, died on July 6 at the Lincoln General Hospital. Short funeral services were held here at the W. J. Rich home, parents of Mrs. Platt, on July 7, in charge of Dr. H. A. Fast. Gertrude Hohmann sang a solo "Have Thine Own Way" and Delsie Tieszen played a marimba solo "Goin' Home" Burial was made in the Newton cemetery. Mrs. Platt and children at the present time are making their home here in Newton. | |||
