  — One of the early immigrants from Russia to South Dakota, Mrs. Rebekka Hofer, died Jan. 7 at the home of her son near Marion. She was 91 years of age. She and her husband John S. Hofer, came to America in 1879, and from 1881 until a few days before her death she lived on the same homestead. Funeral services were held at the Neu Hutterthaler church on Jan. 10. Rev. Albert Ewert and Rev. Jacob H. Hofer officiating.
