Kalona, Iowa. — John L. Hostetler, 65, of Kalona was instantly killed about 7:50 a. m. Monday, Nov. 16, when the car in which he was riding with his wife and daughter skidded on the icy pavement into the path of an oncoming car.
Mrs. Hostetler, who was driving, was taken to Mercy hospital in Iowa City, having sustained broken ribs. Sharol, the daughter, was treated and released.
Mr. Hostetler, a Kalona cabinet maker, leaves his wife, three daughters, Lefena and Sharol at home, Vileen of La Junta, Colo., and a son John, who with his family resides in Virginia.
