Metamora, Ill. — Funeral services were conducted at the Metamora Mennonite Church on Sept. 19 for Maynard R. Hostetler, 43-year-old farmer of the El Paso community who died in a Peoria hospital Sept. 17 of injuries sustained in an Indiana highway crash four weeks earlier. | |||
Mr. Hostetler and his brother Leo of Roanoke were en route to Michigan to get a load of peaches when their truck was hit head-on near Valparaiso, Ind. The teenage driver of the other vehicle apparently went to sleep at the wheel. Leo Hostetler has recovered from the injuries, but his brother never regained consciousness. | |||
He leaves his wife, the former Ada Schrock of Metamora; three sons and two daughters, all at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Archie Hostetler of Roanoke; three sisters and three brothers. | |||

Head-On Crash Fatal To Illinois Farmer
Metamora, Ill. — Funeral services were conducted at the Metamora Mennonite Church on Sept. 19 for Maynard R. Hostetler, 43-year-old farmer of the El Paso community who died in a Peoria hospital Sept. 17 of injuries sustained in an Indiana highway crash four weeks earlier.
Mr. Hostetler and his brother Leo of Roanoke were en route to Michigan to get a load of peaches when their truck was hit head-on near Valparaiso, Ind.
