'Youth Dies Instantly From Horse's Kick
Mechanicsville, Md. — A horse's kick resulted in almost instant death for 11-year-old Henry Hertzler, son of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Hertzler of this community.
The boy was attempting to lead a colt from a stable when one of the horses in the stable kicked, striking him in the chest near the heart. His younger brother Isaac, witnessed the accident.
