Vogt of Hesston transacted business at the Herald office last Saturday.  Mr. Vogt reported that his wife had gone to California to attend the funeral of her sister, Mrs. Ben Swartzendruber at Upland, California, which was being held on that day.  Mrs. Swartzendruber died on Monday, March 8, following an operation.  Mr. Vogt said also that one of his grandchildren, a son of Missionary and Mrs. Milton Vogt of India, was burned quite badley lately by hot water at their home in India.  He is however recovering nicely according to late reports.

LOCAL

— C. A. Vogt of Hesston transacted business at the Herald office last Saturday. Mr. Vogt reported that his wife had gone to California to attend the funeral of her sister, Mrs. Ben Swartzendruber at Upland, California, which was being held on that day. Mrs. Swartzendruber died on Monday, March 8, following an operation.
