•  Memorial services for Mrs. Clara Springer, 85, were conducted Tuesday, Aug. 13, at 6:30 p.m., at the Schowalter Villa in Hesston, with Rev. Peter B. Wiebe and Rev. James Hershberger officiating.  Further services and burial took place Friday, Aug. 16, at the Hopedale Mennonite Church, Hopedale, Ill., where she was a member.  Mrs. Springer died Aug. 12 at Schowalter Villa where she had lived since October 1963.  Survivors include her husband, of Hesston; three sons, Howard, Hudson, Ill., Dr. Glenn, Kansas City, Mo., and Nelson, Goshen, Ind.; four daughters, Mrs. Leland (Elsie) Bachman, Hesston, Miss Ina Springer, Kansas City, Mo., Miss Lorene Springer, Lebanon, Ore., and Mrs. Paul (Loretta) Leatherman, Akron, Pa.  Funeral arrangements were in charge of Miller Funeral Home in Goessel.
