Hutchinson, Kan. — Funeral services were held at Johnson and Sons chapel here Tuesday morning for Victor D. Goering, 43, prominent Hutchinson attorney who was fatally injured in a traffic accident Saturday night, May 24. | |||
He was a member of the First Mennonite Church here. The pastor, Rev. Richard Ratzlaff, officiated at the funeral. | |||
Mr. and Mrs. Goering were en route home when their auto collided with two horses loose on the highway. One of the animals was thrown onto the car and the impact demolished the upper left side of the vehicle. Mrs. Goering suffered only minor injuries. | |||
An attorney with Gilliland, Hayes and Goering Law Offices, Mr. Goering attended Bethel College and was a graduate of the University of Kansas Law School. He grew up in the Pretty Prairie community near here. | |||
Surviving in addition to his widow are two sons, Michael and Peter, and one daughter, Amy, all of the home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Goering of Kingman; and one sister, Mrs. Larry E. Keenan of Great Bend. | |||

Prominent Attorney Of Hutchinson Dies In Traffic Accident
Hutchinson, Kan. — Funeral services were held at Johnson and Sons chapel here Tuesday morning for Victor D. Goering, 43, prominent Hutchinson attorney who was fatally injured in a traffic accident Saturday night, May 24.
He was a member of the First Mennonite Church here. The pastor, Rev. Richard Ratzlaff, officiated at the funeral.
