A public school teacher in his early years as well as a singing teacher in Mennonite congregation, he farmed for a number of years along with his ministerial work. He was ordained to the ministry in 1904, and was active until his death.

Well-Known Minister Dies In Indiana

NILES SLABAUGH SERVED HOWARD-MIAMI CHURCH FOR OVER 50 YEARS

Kokomo, Ind. — Niles M. Slabaugh, a minister of the Howard-Miami Mennonite (Old) Church near here for more than 50 years, died unexpectedly at his home May 14 about an hour after he suffered a coronary attack. He was 85.

A public school teacher in his early years as well as a singing teacher in Mennonite congregation, he farmed for a number of years along with his ministerial work. He was ordained to the ministry in 1904, and was active until his death.

Funeral services were conducted May 17 at the Howard-Miami Church.
