Steinbach, Man. — The first traffic fatality in 15 years occurred here July 1 when Abram P. Schultz, 79, died from injuries suffered the previous day. | |||
Mr. Schultz was believed to have been struck on the side of the head by the side mirror of a truck as he was attempting to cross Main St. The force of the impact knocked him to the pavement. He died in a Winnipeg hospital after undergoing a three-hour neuro-surgical operation. | |||
Funeral services were held July 5 in the Mennonite Brethren Church at Steinbach. | |||
