Student Dies After Heart Surgery
Sugarcreek, Ohio. — Barbara Ann Gerber, 24, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Aden Gerber of Berlin, died at Lakeside hospital in Cleveland on Sept. 26, several days after undergoing heart surgery.
A former nursing student at the same hospital where the operation was performed, Miss Gerber was a graduate of Berlin high school and attended Goshen college for two years. She had also undergone heart surgery in 1957.
Surviving in addition to the parents are four sisters and seven brothers.
Funeral services were conducted at the Martins Creek Mennonite church on Sept. 29.
