• Mrs. Paul G. Schmidt, 76, died June 4 at the Bethesda Hospital in Goessel. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at the Tabor Mennonite church, with Rev. James Schrag officiating. Mrs. Schmidt was the former Sara Frey, and married Paul G. Schmidt at Newton in 1935. They farmed in Marion County for many years, and in 1970 entered the Bethesda Home at Goessel. Surviving are her husband, of the Home; a daughter, Mrs. Lavern Unruh of Route 2, Newton; a brother and sister, A. J. Frey and Mrs. Mac Temple, both of Newton; and one grandchild. | |||
