She was born at Eureka, Ill. and married Mr. Schertz there in 1901. He died here in 1952. | |||
Surviving are a brother, S. E. Smith, and a sister, Mrs. E. H. Oyer, both of Eureka; a nephew, Dr. Willard Smith, and niece, Mrs. Lauren Shank, both of Goshen. | |||

Long-Time Goshen, Ind. Resident Dies
Goshen, Ind. — Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Schertz, 77, widow of Benjamin Schertz, were held Sunday afternoon, Jan. 22, at the College Mennonite Church.
A resident of this community since 1924, Mrs. Schertz suffered a stroke three weeks before her death which occurred Jan. 20 at the Goshen Hospital.
She was born at Eureka, Ill. and married Mr. Schertz there in 1901. He died here in 1952.
