Richard David Ulrich, born Aug. 9, 1908, died of double pneumonia on May 5, 1986, at the age of 77 years.
 
He was the son of Christopher M. and Elizabeth Schertz Ulrich of Woodford County, Ill.  He lived in the Eureka, Ill., area until moving to Kitchener, Ont., where he lived for 11 years and was a member of the First Mennonite Church, Kitchener.
 
Since 1943 he had lived the Harrisonburg-Dayton, Va. area, where he was a poultry and livestock farmer and an active participant in the Lindale congregation.  He retired from active farming in 1983 due to pain of arthritis.
 
Surviving are his wife, Elva Martin Ulrich, whom he married Feb. 28, 1943;  a son, Lowell E. Ulrich of Dayton; three sisters, Lorene E. Wagner and Reva A. Noe, both of Chenoa, Ill., and Mona Schoonaert of Washington, Ill.; and four brothers, Wilmer C. Ulrich of Reedley, Calif., Robert J. Ulrich of Torrance, Calif., Marvin E. Ulrich of Dayton, Va., and Clayton J. Ulrich of Eureka, Ill.
 
Funeral services were held May 8 at the Weavers Mennonite Church, with interment in the church cemetery.

RICHARD D. ULRICH

Richard David Ulrich, born Aug. 9, 1908, died of double pneumonia on May 5, 1986, at the age of 77 years.
