Harrisonburg, Va. &#8212; Funeral services were held at the Springdale Mennonite Church near Waynesboro on Sunday, Nov. 26, for Mrs. Merlin L. Erb, 25, who died instantly in a one-car crash near Detroit Lakes, Minn. on Nov. 21.
 
Mrs. Erb, who was teaching school in Minnesota, was en route to school when her car skidded on ice and overturned.  She died of a broken neck.
 
She was the former Mary Ann Heatwole, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Galen A. Heatwole of rural Waynesboro.  She and her husband resided at Moorehead, Minn.

Teacher Killed When Car Skids on Ice

Harrisonburg, Va. — Funeral services were held at the Springdale Mennonite Church near Waynesboro on Sunday, Nov. 26, for Mrs. Merlin L. Erb, 25, who died instantly in a one-car crash near Detroit Lakes, Minn. on Nov. 21.

Mrs. Erb, who was teaching school in Minnesota, was en route to school when her car skidded on ice and overturned. She died of a broken neck.

She was the former Mary Ann Heatwole, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Galen A. Heatwole of rural Waynesboro. She and her husband resided at Moorehead, Minn.
