• Funeral services for Nick E. Wiens, 55, farmer of Route 1, Newton, were conducted Monday forenoon, April 14, at the First Mennonite Church with Dr. Albert Epp, the pastor, in charge. Mr. Wiens died April 12 at Bethel Deaconess Hospital where he had been a patient after suffering a heart attack. Surviving are his wife, the former Evelyn Friesen, of the home; three daughters, Mrs. Jim Smith of Muskogee, Okla., Mrs. Phil Mahan of Garden City, and Carol of the home; a son, Richard, of Hesston; three sister, Mrs. Harold Regier of Newton, Mrs. Bill Goossen of Beatrice, Neb., and Mrs. Ruben Wedel of Pharr, Texas; two brothers, Leonard of Walton and Simon of Inman; and three grandchildren. | |||
